Świetny Prezencior

Moja Martucha Piotrucha zrobiła mi tak świetny prezent, że nawet nie śniłem o takim. Przyjdę w nim w poniedziałek do pracy i może Michał mi zrobi zdjęcie swoim nowym komputerkiem :]

No i dzisiaj uzyskałem 233822 punkty w kawałku Dream Theater -- Finally Free we Frets on Fire. Najdłuższa sekwencja dobrze zagranych dźwięków: 189, dokładność: 91,9%. Moją ambicją jest wyżyłowanie 200 nutek pod rząd i 95 procentowa dokładność (czyli 5 gwiazdek). Wtedy będę naprawdę zadowolony.

I chyba zapomniałem wczoraj napisać, że dostałem też kapcie, bo te co mam mają przedziurawiony przez mój paluch przód. Teraz dostałem takie laczko-klapki, czyli z obuwie domowe z niezabudowanym przodem.

Ale prezent od Martuchy rządzi. Wrzucę fotkę niebawem :].

Hello,

today is my birthday. Some of you asked… I was born 11 September 1987, so I'm 21 years old now. I'm just back from concert of some local guitar bands. I received nice gifts today, like a chair (named "Chef"), a Children Of Bodom t-shirt (thanks squark and his half), a chestnut (or kasztan if you wish) and I was going to be gifted a present from my girl, but unfortunately, she learns for her exam, so we'll meet tomorrow. I have no idea what the gift would be and I'm very curious about it.

Other news: I have passed the object DB in Python. The caching is just as fast as running query in a few seconds instead of 4 minutes in certain situation, so this seems a lot, and as a matter of fact, this is only a prototype of caching mechanism.

Nature (as some flowers) highers the work efficiency, so I set a ladybird as my new wallpaper. It motivates me.

I have though of my future (i.e. what to do AFTER being a successful programmer) being asked by my girl. I would like to manage some project (I believe I would be good in it).

And a time for confession: I really really love my Marta, and I will be very happy to be her beloved husband some day.

This is the end of the birthday blog post. The next will be here in year I hope.

tag filesystem idea

I just thought of my ideal file system, where nothing hides and is easy to find (without going through the whole system — either manually, or automatically — find or even the indexed way — mlocate).

The main idea is tags.
When I save a file I want to give it some tags.
Moreover, I want to be able to find a file based on its properties, like

• file properties — author, date created, type (PDF/TXT/XML)
• EXIF data — camera name, camera settings
• audio tags — artist, title, year, album, genre

How could it look like?

# ls /home/quake
wikidot/    python/    work/    tmp/    img/    music/
# ls /home/quake/wikidot
work/    tmp/    img/    howto.pdf
# ls /home/quake/wikidot/work
new-idea.txt
# ls /home/quake/work/wikidot
new-idea.txt

So it looks, like it doesn't matter if you navigate to work and then to wikidot or the reverse.

Moreover, I want to browse all my music files (having music tag) by author information:

# ls /home/quake/music/+artist/
Britney Spears/    Shakira/

PDF files inside of wikidot:

# ls /home/quake/wikidot/+type/pdf/
howto.pdf

This idea will be implemented with:

• Filesystem in User SpacE — FUSE
• Python
• SQLite
• Ubuntu laptop :)

INI Config File For Wikidot Open Source

today I managed to create configuration file mechanism for Wikidot — based on INI file.

I posted two files — minimal one and one containing all possible options to the SVN repository:
